Summer food program changes are announced

Boundary County School District is participating in the summer food service program. This is a federal program that reimburses providers who serve healthy meals to all children 1-18 at no charge during the summer months. Acceptance and participation requirements for the Program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. This institute is an equal opportunity provider.

The meal sites are a great convenience to all families in the community.

Meals will be provide at the following sites and times. There is no camp at Naples on Aug. 2 or Aug. 4.

Summer meal

program sites:

Boundary County Middle School — Monday-Friday, June 13-Aug. 8, 12 p.m. -1 p.m.

Valley View Elementary — The school welcomes all students to join them in a fun-filled time of reading, chess, crafts, lunch, and snacks. Thursdays only through July 28. Meals served at 11:30 a.m-12:15 p.m. and 1 p.m-1:30 p.m.

Bonners Ferry Municipal Pool — Snacks will be provided Monday-Friday, June 20-Aug. 5, 9:45 a.m.-10:15 a.m.

United Methodist Church — Aug. 1 to Aug. 5, 12:30 p.m.-1 p.m.

Naples Elementary Summer Reading Camp — The camp will offer children access to books, reading, computer time, supervised play time, as well as lunch and snack. The camp will be held Tuesday and Thursdays through Sept. 1, meals served 12 p.m.-12:30 p.m., 3 p.m.-3:30 p.m.

Mt Hall Elementary School —Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 17, meals served 7:30 a.m.-8 a.m., 12 p.m.-1 p.m., 3 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Dinner will not be served on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or Wednesday, Aug. 9. Only lunch will be served at this site on Aug. 8-17.
