St. Ann's fire still under investigation with FBI

BONNERS FERRY--The arson that destroyed St. Ann's Catholic Church early morning on April 20th is still currently under investigation with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).
Local authorities conducted the initial investigations which were turned over to the FBI April 27th.
According to FBI spokesperson, Sandra Yi Baker, "The FBI must adhere to policies and guidelines set by the Department of Justice which aims to protect the integrity of an investigation.
Those guidelines attempt to balance the public interest of an investigation with the constitutional protections of an individual involved in a case that may enter the judicial process."
Despite other media outlets releasing the name of the person of interest, there has been no official release implicating the individual from the FBI.
