Summer Fun
BOUNDARY COUNTY--BCSO responded to a rollover OHV accident yesterday, June 13 involving unlicensed juveniles. With the warm weather upon us, often safety goes by the wayside.
In Idaho, all OHVs are required to be registered and have insurance and a muffler. According to the Idaho parks and recreation site, any OHV that is operated on public lands, roads, or trails of the state of Idaho, must display a current IDPR OHV registration sticker or current sticker from owner's residence. Any person that does not have a valid driver's license, must complete and carry their certificate of OHV education completion course. When riding OHV remember to wear appropriate clothing, shoes (not flip flops) and helmets-mandatory if under 18 years of age in the state of Idaho. If riders are under 16 years of age, adults are required to supervise at all times. When riding on private property, do not forget to obtain permission.
By the water, the temperature outside is hot...but the water is not. No your limits--use life vests.
Bicycles and skateboards are a great means of transportation for all. When riding on the streets, remember to obey the laws of the streets; parents remind your younger children of the laws.
Have a fun and safe summer.
