Kip Smith Memorial Ride says goodbye to Lloyd Hughes Park

This year marked the tenth anniversary of the Memorial Ride in memory of our son, Kip Smith. Every year his family and friends have enjoyed a four-wheeler outing using the Lloyd Hughes Snowmobile Park as a gathering and starting point and finishing the day with a barbecue and social gathering.

Through those ten years we have seen the Park get a very lot of use and care. Some good, some not so good, especially some of the use being not so good. The last two years, and especially this year, we have seen very much improvement in the maintenance and care of the structures and the site.

This is probably the last year we will use this site for the annual outing. But, who knows, we may use it in the future. We will certainly recommend the site to anyone looking for a spot to use for a daily outing.

We want to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to you and to John Buckley for all you have done too improve and maintain the facilities and the general site.
