Ingraham arraignment set for Mar. 25
Friday morning the Boundary County Courthouse heard several felony cases.
An apprehended fugitive with suspected gang ties, Derek Summers, waived his right for preliminary hearing on felony forged bank papers. Summers’ bond and arraignment set for March 10.
The case against Skylar Abbott Ingraham for felony Murder I finally began. According to statements in court by prosecutor Tevis Hull, the accused is charged with felony Murder One because they believe the crime was premeditated. The victim, Mr. Barron was unarmed, shot in the back of the head with a high power rifle while sitting in a chair.
There is a plea bargain on the table with Ingraham’s team, but Hull can not comment on the specifics at this time. According to Hull, a life sentence was inevitable for Ingraham in spite of a plea deal.
Ingraham’s counsel, experienced trial attorney Michael D. Waldrup, was requesting that bond be reduced because the defendent was born and raised in Boundary County. His family was in attendance and is also local and prepared to assist in court dates. Waldrup stated that his client feared Mr. Barron the victim. The victim had been in prison and a member of the Aryan Knights.
Ingraham was arrested in October for failure to report the death of his uncle.
He has been in jail for 150 days for charges of Murder One. According to Judge Justin W. Julian he did not feel that he was a danger to the community because the crime was specific to the events and that he was not a flight risk. Due to the nature of the charge, motion of bond reduction was denied; bond was set at $100,000 and arraignment set for March 24 at 9 a.m.
