Sheriff Sprungl Seeks Re-election

| March 4, 2016 2:00 AM

Greg Sprungl formally announces that he is seeking reelection in 2016. He does so with the support of his family as well as the many community members who have voiced satisfaction with his work to date. Sprungl has served as Boundary County Sheriff for many years, beginning in 1994.

From 2001 – 2003, Sprungl worked for the U.N. Civilian Police in Kosovo, building a new police force and rising to second in command of a station of approximately 390 officers. After his return, Sprungl worked for the Bonners Ferry Police on the Drug Task Force until taking over the Sheriff’s duties once again in 2004. He has continuously served Boundary County as Sheriff since that time.

Sprungl expresses a strong sense of pride in the Sheriff’s Office that he and his team of talented law enforcement professionals have built over the years. Sprungl states that he has met the county’s law enforcement needs while staying within budget and that his administrative and personnel decisions have never resulted in any costly law suits.

Sprungl will be running on the Republican ticket in May and would appreciate your vote. He states that a vote for him will be a vote for stability in the Sheriff’s Office and in our community. Please keep an eye out for Sprungl’s upcoming website, www.sprungl4sheriff2016.org, where he will address specific campaign issues. Sprungl’s committee consists of Kris Larson (Treasurer), Mike Dinning, Larry and Wilma Devore, Steve Nelson, Jeannie and Rod Robinson, Steve and Carol Thompson, and former Sheriff, Bruce Whittaker.
