BOISE, Idaho (April 25, 2016) – Students in grades 5 through 12 from throughout Idaho participated in the sixth annual “Look to the Forest” Arbor Day photo contest sponsored by the Idaho Forest Products Commission. Two hundred and thirty photographs were submitted for consideration in the contest, which asked students to portray what they see when they “look to the forest.”

“We were stunned by the quality of the photographs and the thoughtfulness of the students’ statements about their photos,” said IFPC Director Betty Munis. “The photographs are simply wonderful. They reflect the many ways Idaho’s forests are sustainable and renewable.”

One grand prize winner, three division winners and 19 honorable mentions were selected by a panel of judges.

All winning photos entries can be viewed online idahoforests.org/photogallery2016/index.html.
