Kraly present at preliminary hearing for multiple charges

FRIDAY-State of Idaho vs. Shane A. Kraly preliminary hearing was Friday, May 13. The burden of proof was on the prosecution.

Originally on April 28, Kraly who was on parole, falsely identified himself to authorities; Nov. 3, 2014, convicted Felony-Contraband in Correctional Facility.

Sept. 5, 2014, convicted Felony-attempted possession of controlled substance; Dec. 8, 2011, convicted Felony-harassment of witness and Dec. 8, convicted Felony-harassment of witness.

District Court Judge Justin Julian, established that the burden of proof for Felony rape-female is 16-17-year-old and perpetrator is three years or more years older than female; Felony children-injury to child; and Felony-controlled substance-possession of was substantial and trial was set for May 19.

The 17-year-old victim identified the defendant, Shane Kraly as the man with orange jail clothes. She explained that she had met Kraly randomly through Facebook.

The purpose of their meeting on that night was to meet and have intercourse. The victim stated that Kraly suggested she try “crystal meth.” She also stated that intercourse was nonstop with Kraly throughout the evening into the next morning; along with injections into her hands, feet, and arms.

The State also brought into evidence pictures of the victim that were taken during the medical exam which showed the injection marks and bruising on the victim’s knees.

Kraly is currently being held on $100,000.00 bond.
