Improving Veterans’ Experience through MyVA Rural Veterans Community Public Forum- June 13, 2016
The Idaho Division of Veterans Services and Idaho Veterans, Service-Members, & Families Coordination Council invite all Veterans, service-members and their families to attend the 13 June 2016 MyVA Rural Veterans Community Forum.
Moscow, Idaho – As part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) MyVA initiative, the Idaho Division of Veterans Services and Idaho Veterans, Service-Members, & Families Coordination Council invite all veterans, service-members and their families to attend this public forum on Monday, June 13th starting at 6:30 PM at the University of Idaho.
The intent of this forum is to develop an opportunity to improve the Veterans’ experience by bringing together the community, connecting Veterans and their supporters with resources, and by engaging community stakeholders to ask questions, raise concerns and provide feedback/input in an open dialog.
As part of this new initiative, and in conjunction with Senator Crapo’s recommendation to create a work group aimed at improving Idaho Veterans’ experiences with the VA, the Idaho Veterans, Service-Members, & Families Coordination Council is pleased to reach out to solicit feedback from the Veterans’ community by holding this event. The engagement board/panel will include representatives from the Spokane and Walla Walla VA Medical Centers, Boise VA Regional Office, Idaho Division of Veterans Services, Spokane and Walla Walla Vet Centers, ESGR, U.S. and Idaho Department of Labor, Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, and more.
This event will be held on campus in the University of Idaho’s International Ballroom, located on the second floor of the Bruce M. Pitman Center. Parking for this event will be available on the north side of the Pitman Center.
The University of Idaho Pitman Center is located at 709 S Deakin Street, Moscow, Idaho 83844. Please arrive early as the event will begin right at 6:30 PM and conclude by 8:30 PM.
