Donald “Don” Washburn

April 23, 1928 – October 26, 2016

Donald Jay Washburn passed away on Oct. 26 in Vancouver, Wash. He was born in Bonners Ferry, Idaho to Helen (Mace) and John Washburn.

Don was a Carman and Derrick Engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad for more than 40 years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, clam digging, gardening, woodworking and tinkering around the house. He was known to have two of every tool.

Don is survived by his daughter, Sandra Washburn; grandson, Gavin (Shannon) Washburn; granddaughters, Jeanette (Travis) Price and Anjee (Tom) Neeley; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by, Beverly; and son, Donald Jr.

Services at Evergreen Memorial Gardens on Nov. 4, at 12:30 p.m. Burial to follow at Memory Memorial Park, 6906 NE 144 St., Vancouver, Wash.

Donations to be made to the Moose Lodge or Cancer Society.
