Peter Gordon Alastair (Al) Brown

Peter Gordon Alastair (AL) Brown, 79, passed away on Oct. 31, at the Providence St. Joseph Hospital Long Term Care in Chewelah, Wash., from a severe stroke. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 12, at Springs of Living Water Free Methodist Church in Bonners Ferry with Pastor Alan Hinson officiating and interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery.

Al was born in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada to Annie Jane (Harrold) and Peter Sutherland Brown on April 29, 1937. He grew up in Canada married and had two children Janice Yule and Kenny Brown. He has four grandchildren in Canada. He has two sister surviving Adelaide Zenk and Marina Hromadka from a family of six children and many nieces and nephews he is close to in Canada. They loved him as we do here in the states.

He married Jackie Sue Moline on Dec. 23, 1987. He then became a step father to her young daughter; Melinda and Donel. He raised and loved them as his own as well as nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Al was a long haul truck driver, heavy equipment operator and then retired from Woods Road Crew, Sandpoint, Idaho. He loved all outdoor activities, table games, and especially family gatherings.

He is preceded in death by his mother, father, one brother, two sisters and step daughter, Donel Stippich.

Honorary pallbearers are Doug Ladley, Jim Stippich and his four grandsons.
