It might still feel like fall down in the valleys, especially after the record-setting rains of October, but its starting to look a bit wintry up in the higher elevations of Boundary County. There was plenty of snow when this photo was taken on the banks of Harrison Lake. In fact, it took some post-holing through two to three feet of snow just to get here. The lake sits at just over 6,000 feet and can be reached via a moderate out-and-back trail. The trail is just over two miles each way.
