Harold A. Skelton

Harold A. Skelton, 86, of Kingman, AZ passed away at his home on Nov. 6.

He was formerly of Cottage Grove, Ore. and Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

No services will be held.

Harold was born in Grangeville, Idaho on May 29, 1930. He graduated from High School in Bonners Ferry.

He married Dorothy L. Marks on Oct. 30, 1954 in Coeur d’Alene. He worked as a welder and heavy machine mechanic.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army.

He was involved in raising Santa Gertrudis cattle in Oregon. A familiar sight was his yellow 1960 Chevy pick-up.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Laura Skelton of Bonners Ferry, his son Timothy Skelton of Kingman, Ariz. and Cottage Grove, Ore., and five brothers of southern Idaho.

Harold is survived by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy Skelton of Kingman, AZ, formerly of Cottage Grove, daughter Susie Marie and her husband John Maury of Cottage Grove. Six grandchildren: Melissa and husband Travis Smith of Cottage Grove, Julie Maury of Battleground, WA, David and his wife Jessie of Cottage Grove, Cameron Ross of Eugene Ore., Arielle Ross of Eugene. Morgan and his wife Briana of Cottage Grove.

Four great-grandchildren: Derek Maury of Cottage Grove, Aylah Maury of Irrigon, Ore., Braden and Elijah Ross of Cottage Grove.
