BCEA teams up with local businesses to show appreciation for teachers
Safeway teamed up with the Boundary County Education Assocation (BCEA) recently to show their appreciation for local educators and support staff.
The first trip was to Naples Elementary, where principal Lisa Iverson covered playground duty and called all the staff into the teachers’ lounge. Co-presidents Rita Vannoy and Josh Knaggs were waiting with fresh doughnuts and piping hot Starbucks coffee that was graciously donated by Safeway manager Gina Musso and delivered by Steve Donn.
This was the first of many “shows of appreciation” that BCEA has planned, with the Bonners Ferry High School and Mt. Hall Elementary School next on the list.
Both Knaggs and Vannoy told the Herald that they are very excited to show this appreciation to BCSD staff and to be teaming up with and spotlighting local businesses.
“All of our professionals, in every field and department, are appreciated and valued,” they said.
