The Lady Badgers beat the Kellogg Wildcats in an exciting four-set match at home on Tuesday, Oct. 4. Wenk led the charge offensively with 13 kills.

Other scoring: Bateman, 26 assists, Whittaker, 3 aces, Bennett, 35 digs.

The home team played with confidence in the first set, winning 25-20, but lost the second set 13-25, They came out firing in the third set, winning 25-15, but the Wildcats were relentless during the fourth set and almost came back to win it. With the score tied at 22-22, fans in the bleachers could feel the momentum shifting, but the Badgers pulled it together and ended the game with a 3-0 run.

This was a welcomed win after losing to Timberlake on Sept. 29. The undefeated Tigers team rolled right over the Badgers, winning the game in three sets: 25-22, 25-19 and 25-17. Wenk had a tough time getting past Timberlake’s front wall, only scoring 3 kills in the game. Bennett scored fourteen digs, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Badgers in it.

The Lady Badgers will take on Clark Fork High at home on Thursday, Oct. 6 in the Volley for the Cure. Also known as Dig Pink night, the players will be decked out in pink uniforms in honor of those affected by breast cancer, so wear your brightest pink shirt to the game and come out to support the volleyball team in one of the last home games of the season. The game starts at 7 p.m.
