Bonners Ferry Herald names Dac Collins reporter
Dac Collins is a newcomer to Boundary County and a new addition to the Bonners Ferry Herald team.
Since earning a degree in English from the University of the South in Tennessee, where he wrote for The Sewanee Purple newspaper, he has made a living freelance writing, river guiding and teaching snowboarding all over the United States, from southern Appalachia to Alaska to the northern Cascades.
Collins comes to Idaho from the West Coast, where he was writing for the Rogue Valley Messenger in southern Oregon.
Happiest in the mountains, Collins feels right at home in the northern Rockies, where he is looking forward to getting in tune with the local community and environment. When not at his desk writing, you can usually find him on a river somewhere impersonating a fisherman.
