On Oct. 5, more than 70 parents, teachers and Valley View students braved the cold, dreary weather to participate in the National Walk to School event. Schools all across the nation, and many other countries, have been participating in this event since 1997. Locally, Valley View has been walking to school for 17 years, “for the fun of it,” PE Teacher, Paula Petesch said.
