Raymond 'Ray' Finley

Raymond “Ray” Finley of Libby, Montana passed away peacefully on October 13, 2016.

Ray was born on July 21, 1946 in Hawkins, Wisconsin to Raymond and Eleanor Finley. Ray spent the majority of his life in North Idaho and Montana. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, but most of all he enjoyed 50 years of playing music with many bands, including the Silve-rado Band and Border-line and a lot of jam sessions along the way.

Ray served in the U.S. Army, including multiple tours in Vietnam, where he received multiple commendations and medals. Ray will be missed by his loving wife Lynne, his daughters, Carrie, Jennifer, Jasmin, Jessica, his son Jamie, his grandson Tony, his sister, Donna, and sister-in-law, Lila, his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Christ Lutheran Church, located at 200 W. Larch Street, Libby, Montana, at 2 p.m., with graveside to follow and a celebration of life at the VFW in Libby.

The family would like to say a special thanks you to the nurses and staff at the Libby Care Center and Hospice for taking such great care of him the past months.
