Do You Remember - Are you ready for football?
Football players have been practicing hard for this season. Do you remember who these players were? Who did they play for? What team is this? If you have an answer, please email doyouremember@meadowcrk.com. If you would like to stay anonymous, just let us know.
School has begun, so we have been showing you pictures of schools from past years. Last week it was of the teacherage for the Snyder School. It was thought to have been built by Art Snyder, on private land, in 1910. He stayed there while serving as the first Snyder Ranger. Two other log additions were added in the 1940’s and 1970’s.
Brad and Laurie Lowther remembered the building. They remember the original cabin is the foremost part of the structure and it was built when the railroad went through the area. Brad and Laurie lived there from 1981 to 1992. They had three children at the time and the property was owned by J.W. Whitley. When they first moved in, there were the remains of a building in the meadow to the East of the cabin, which they were told was the old Snyder School. That building does not exist today.
