Badgers battle Freeman Scotties

FREEMAN — The boys’ varsity football team traveled to Freeman, Wash., on Friday for a matchup with the Freeman High School Scotties.

While the Badgers lost the game 41-0, several players delivered strong performances that demonstrated the talent and teamwork fans have come to expect from a Badgers team. Bonners Ferry travels to Sandpoint Friday to play Sandpoint High School.

Doing well for the Badgers were C. Sabin, who completed 3-15 for 23 yards. He had three interceptions and two fumbles. N. Sabin had eight rushes for the Badgers, garnering 43 yards. He had one fumble.

C. Harringon had a 14-yard catch for the Badgers and Isaac Lavala had a five-yard catch for Bonners Ferry.

K. Stockton had a four-yard catch. M. Varelman also had a strong showing with three carries for 10 yards and 21 tackles. C. Dowell had a fumble recovery for the Badgers.
