Paul Kenneth Karr peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016, at Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Services will be held on Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. There will be a gathering at the Rusty Moose after the service for friends and family who would like to share stories and remember Paul.

Paul was born May 28, 1944, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston, Texas, to Eugene B. and Olga M. Karr. At 3 months of age, the family moved from Houston to Rockville, Neb. There they lived with Grandpa and Grandma Sullivan while his father was in the Army during World War II.

Paul spent his childhood in Rockville working at the family business and building his love of cars. He graduated from Rockville High in 1962. That fall, he went to work with the Bureau of Reclamation in Fontanelle, Wyo. That is where he met the love of his life, Jeannie Robbins. They were married on Feb. 15, 1965.

Paul and Jeannie had two children and lived in many different places before settling in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, in 1972. Paul enjoyed being in the woods and working with many people in the community, building things out of wood and classic cars. He had a quick wit, a big heart and an opinion on everything!

Paul is survived by his two children: Gary Karr, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and Jennifer English of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; three grandchildren: Jessica Karr, Christopher English and Kelsey English; a brother, Dave Karr and wife Cheri; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Jeannie.
