Class is back in session and it is time for pictures.

Do you know these students? What grade they were in and where they attended school? If you have an answer, please email doyouremember@meadowcrk.com. If you would like to stay anonymous, just let us know.

Two weeks ago, we shared a picture of the 1998, Boundary County Junior High eighth-grade football team. Linda Hall was able to identify the players as follows, front row: David Hoffman, Adam Portrey, James Carey, Kyle Bortz and Aaron Hall; back row: Ben Zwinger, Brian Davis, Ben Greenslitt, Tyrell Schirado, Kip Hartman, John Zimmerman, Eric Hanson, Joshua Foust, Matt Dilley and Jason Manley.

Last week’s picture was from the Valley Studio and was taken at the fairground’s outdoor arena. It showed Tom Parish holding a soil sampler, Jack Chugg with a book and Ben Studer who was the county agricultural extension agent. Blanche Studer recognized Ben and said that he served as the county agent from 1965 until 1979.

Your Boundary County Historical Society and Museum, 7229 Main, Bonners Ferry, sponsors this column. During the summer, the museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday.

To help maintain the buildings, a small entrance fee is charged at the door. It is $2 per person or $5 per family. There is no charge for those under 14 years old or for the Boundary County Historical Society members. Visit the website at www.boundarycountymuseum.org for a list of the latest events; follow us on our Facebook page; or give us a call at 208-267-7720.

So much is happening at the museum, so mark your calendars! The Porthill Cemetery Walk will be Sept. 24. Please sign up ahead of time, at the museum, so we know who will be attending.

Oct. 1 brings us another First Free Saturday. No entrance fee will be charged that day to visit the museum. Then, on Oct. 22, we will hold our annual fundraising dinner. Tickets are going quick, so stop by the museum and purchase yours soon. Fun night of good food, great stories and an auction to raise funds to keep the lights on. Hope to see you at one, two or maybe all three events.
