Yoke's Fresh Market acquires Trading Company Stores

SPOKANE VALLEY — As of Sept. 11, Yoke’s Fresh Markets has formally acquired all Trading Company Stores throughout the Inland Northwest. The new Yoke’s locations includes stores in Post Falls, Spokane, Spokane Valley and Cheney, according to a corporate press release.

In the coming months, each location will be transformed into a Yoke’s signature Fresh Concept store, officials said. Guests can expect uninterrupted services as stores will stay open throughout all renovations.

The Trading Company, an independent grocery retailer based in Bonners Ferry was founded in 1994. Paul Matejovsky and Gary Morgan are the co-owners.

Headquartered in Spokane Valley, Yoke’s Foods, Inc. is an employee-owned company with locations in North Idaho, as well as Eastern and Central Washington. In business for over 70 years, Yokes now owns a total of 17 locations including its new acquisitions.
