Grant voting deadline nears

BONNERS FERRY — Area residents have through Friday to vote for the city to make into the next round after being named a finalist for a $250,000 High Five Idaho grant, said Bonners Ferry Mayor David Sims.

The Facebook voting for the top seven ends Sept. 30. The top three cities will advance, and on Oct. 17 a final city will be named. Currently, Plummer, Caldwell, Plummer, Caldwell, Coeur d’Alene, Homedale, and Sandpoint are running against Bonners Ferry.
