Last week’s picture was taken by the Valley Studio. It was the 1958-’59 school year and these were Evergreen students.
The teacher, pictured at the far right, was Mrs. Clara Hewett. Linda Macdonald was able to identify a few of the students shown. In the back row: on the right side is Joe Mesenbrink. In the front row you will find: the third student from the left is Sue Kucera Howe, and next to her is John White. They were members of the class of 1963. Can anyone identify the other class members?
Your Boundary County Historical Society and Museum, 7229 Main St., Bonners Ferry, sponsors this column. During the summer, the museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. To help maintain the buildings, a small entrance fee is charged at the door. It is $2 per person or $5 per family. There is no charge for those under 14 years old or for the Boundary County Historical Society members.

This Saturday, Oct. 1, brings us another First Free Saturday. No entrance fee will be charged that day to visit the museum.
“Dinner at the Museum” will be on Oct. 22 this year. This is the annual fundraiser, with dinner catered by The Rusty Moose. Tickets are going quick, so stop by the museum and purchase yours soon. See you soon!
