'Share Your Love of Quilting' show on tap

| September 29, 2016 1:00 AM

The “Share Your Love of Quilting” quilt show will be held Oct. 8 at the Boundary County Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It will be a non-judged show.

Registration forms to enter your quilt(s) are available from the fabric stores in town and at the fair office. The show is open to any size quilt from table runner to a king size bed. There is also a division for all the other quilted items such as pillows or garments. Bring your quilted treasure to the fairgrounds on Friday, Oct. 7, from 8 a.m. until noon.

If a quilter so desires, the item may be for sale and these items will be clearly marked as such.

The completed quilt entry sheet is due Monday, Oct. 3, at the fair office.

Last year, the quilt show attracted 196 entries and organizers hope to have more this year. There will be more vendor booths and demonstrations happening throughout the day.

Humanitarian quilts are on display in local business windows throughout town and will be displayed at the show on Saturday. Each quilter has designated if their quilts will go to the veterans, ECF at Boundary Community Hospital, Hope House or Quilts Beyond Borders. Naples Helping Hands will be supplying a light lunch so come on down and support them as well.

The community is invited to come down for a fun day and view the handiwork of local quilters.
