BONNERS FERRY — All that was missing was the revving engines and the smell of burnt rubber on Saturday, March 18, when Grace Bible Fellowship along with Springs of Living Water Free Methodist Awana clubbers took time out from reciting Bible verses, playing fast-action games, and participating in Bible/Gospel-based lessons in order to race their hand-crafted pinewood creations.

This year’s winners for Beginner Design were: Nora Young taking 1st; Lexi Fields 2nd; and Haven Madrid taking the 3rd place Beginner’s trophy home.

Advanced Design winners were: Annabeth Comer capturing 1st place; Levi Coffman taking 2nd; and Josiah Martin taking the third place Advanced Design trophy home.

Winners in the Speed division were: Kyalynn Comer racing to first place; Zander Comer taking 2nd; and Levi Coffman racing close behind coming in 3rd.

Winners in Adult Design were: Sean Unruh taking 1st; Lydia Martin 2nd; and Phil Tritt 3rd. Winners in Adult Speed were: Lydia Martin smokin’ the competition in 1st place; Phil Tritt 2nd; and Ruth Allinger 3rd.
