BONNERS FERRY — Haley and Selva Kumar purchased and reopened Jack’s Club this month, and say they enjoy meeting new people from the community. Customers say they are happy to see the place open and operating again.

Jack’s Club is offering live music on weekends, open mic on Wednesday nights, and Karaoke will be coming soon Thursday nights. In addition, a Happy Hour is at 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

“Saturday nights are lively!” says Haley Kumar.

“This area is beautiful,” adds Selva. “Growing up in Coeur d’Alene made me want to stay in Idaho to raise our kids.”

The Kumars have a wealth of plans and goals for Jack’s. They want to create a true bar scene, with concerts weekly upstairs in the summers, a restaurant or food truck for after hours meals, and are shooting for a patio outside.

In addition, Jack’s will be serving more than 30 kinds of bottled beer.

“We want to offer a Northwest Mojito, and other specialty drinks,” Haley says.

Haley has more than ten plus years in the restaurant and bar business. She has experience as a waitress, bartender, busser, and hostess in Coeur d’Alene, at the Schweitzer Mountain Resort in Sandpoint, and in the Lake Tahoe area.

When asked what makes her excited about opening Jack’s Club, Kumar tells us, “Summer! North Idaho is the best place to be in the summer, especially hanging out with friends, both new and old, and having a drink after work or play.”

Kumar wants to thank those who helped give a smooth opening to Jack’s Club.

“Thank you so much to Soulshine, and Mi Pueblo for keeping us fed, to the city’s employees for helping, and to Bonner and Jason for help getting the building ready.”

Jacks Club is open daily from 11 a.m. to close.
