A view of the fair

Have you ever been involved in a family tradition? A family tradition like being on the cheer team because your mom was when she was in high school, or going to work for your family’s company? Well, 4-H and Family Fun Night was that tradition for me. A tradition that gave me so many valuable life lessons and so much knowledge through years of responsibility. Over my 11 years of involvement, the best thing was that it gave me friends, memories and opportunities.

One fun-filled night with FFA and 4-H is Family Fun Night, but my favorite part of that is Family Fun Night Royalty. Anyone who can ride a horse, perform a pattern, interview, and be available for Family Fun Night and the rest of fair is eligible for royalty. Think of it as a smaller version of rodeo royalty. We all know that younger girls look up to the beautiful rodeo queens all glammed up in the crown and sash, wanting to be her. Now is their chance.

FFN royalty is an opportunity for your kids to get out there, and be in the spotlight. This is not only an opportunity for girls, but boys too. Instead of a crown they get and awesome belt buckle. But it’s not all about what you get, your kid will be able to give back to this community by representing, and volunteering at the fair. This is a very fun opportunity that will give your child more confidence and a great experience at the fair. I strongly encourage for more kids to get involved and tryout. It’s a great experience.
