Do You Remember: On the way to school
School is starting up next week. Do you recognize these students or the driver? Do you know which ferry this was? How did you travel to school? If you have an answer or story, please email doyouremember@meadowcrk.com or call the museum. If you would like to stay anonymous, just let us know.

Last week’s photo was of a building that was located on the southwest corner of First and Kootenai. It was built in 1894 as a school. It would later become the West Hotel, then the Idaho Hotel. It was bought by the county, to be used as the courthouse in 1915. When the building was torn down in the early 1940s, the lumber was used to build barns in Paradise Valley. Do you own one of those barns?

The Sundance – Trapper Peak Fire presentation was well attended. If you missed it and would like to listen to the stories told by those who were there, they will be playing at the museum for the next two weeks. Sept. 2, this Saturday, is First Free Saturday, so it would be a great time to come down for a visit. See you soon!
