Beck's Furniture donates couch
BONNERS FERRY — Beck’s Furniture Store, which has been a fixture in Bonners Ferry since 1996, has donated a leather, power reclining sofa to The Seniors Hospitality Center of Boundary County, to help them raise money via a raffle.
“We appreciate this because it comes in dire times,” said Seniors Hospitality Center Administrator Barbara Kovacs.
“I know that they are in need of stuff to keep the programs going and for food and everything, because they charge so very little,” said Beck’s Furniture Store owner Rich Beck. “So we just thought that was a good gesture toward them, and decided that’s who we were going to go with.”
The elegant couch is made by Best Home Furnishings, out of Indiana, and retails for about $1,800. “It is light colored, but it’s all leather, so it is going to hold up well, still clean real easy,” said Beck.
The raffle will be held on Feb. 14, and tickets are available for $5 each or five tickets for $20.
“The profits are going to go to the senior center meals,” said Kovacs.
