A lot of ‘green’ for a greenhouse

“That said, the construction of the high school greenhouse cost more than I anticipated — $10,000 more! We have taken this out of Forest Funds; this was money we were planning to use for other facility projects. If anyone out there feels they are in a position to donate to the construction of the green house, please let me know. I truly believe this program will benefit our agricultural science program and FFA.”

A greenhouse that has a cost overrun of 10 thousand dollars?

Am I the only one who wonders where the 2.4 million dollars a year goes?

Reclaim Idaho meeting Dec. 16

I was very impressed this past summer by the energetic, professional young individuals who made Bonners Ferry the first stop in their grass-roots campaign to provide affordable medical insurance to the uninsured of Idaho.

These earnest young folks who call their campaign Reclaim Idaho are kicking off a statewide petition drive here to put Medicaid Expansion on the ballot in Idaho in November 2018, with one of their first stops in Bonners Ferry.

Anyone interested in learning more about these young citizens and their campaign is encouraged to meet them at the home of Alan and Debbie Flory on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The Florys live at 6725 Purcell St., near Valley View Elementary School. Anyone with questions is asked to call Debbie at 208-290-2416.
