BONNERS FERRY — The Mt. Hall Christmas program was a great success. This year the kindergartners, first graders, and second graders performed a “Prehistoric Christmas”, and the third, fourth, and fifth graders performed “How the Penguins Saved Christmas”. The students started rehearsing in October, and it all paid off when they put on a great show on Wednesday.

A lot goes into our Christmas program. Our wonderful music instructor, Mrs. Lori Carpenter, starts planning a year in advance. Once the programs are selected, Mrs. Carpenter teams up with the incredibly talented Myrna Myers, and together they lay the groundwork for an amazing show. Mt. Hall is blessed with a great network of Mt. Hall parents who come in and help out too. This year 17 parents showed up and helped out with costume assembly and set design. Some might ask if it’s worth all the work, but if you see the expression on the students’ faces when they see the stage for the first time, or hear the sweet harmony of 143 student voices, then you would agree that it is.
