—Photo by STAR SILVA In this panoramic photo, fresh snow can be seen filling a portion of the Kootenai River after heavy snowfalls this week. City of Bonners Ferry Mayor David Sims said the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality gave the city permission to dump excess snow into the river because the city’s regular snow storage located off of Arizona Street reached capacity. About 200 loads of snow has been dumped into the river since Sunday.
