Deer hunting is a common occurrence in the county and puts many a meal on the dinner table. Valdie Burkholder identified the men in last week’s picture as her father and two brothers. Left to right, we have Blaine White Jr., Blaine White Sr., and George White.

The family moved from Kellogg Idaho to a stump ranch in the Moyie Springs area. Valdie is dating the picture to sometime in the 1930’s.

Her mother would cook for hunters who came from the Kellogg, to hunt our vast forests, and some of these deer may have been theirs.

She remembers the deer hanging in the shed. She tells us that the picture brought back many pleasant memories.

Several weeks ago, we shared a picture of the high school twirlers. Trudell Lane Mendenhall recognized herself in the photo along with her classmates.
