BONNERS FERRY — The Friends of the Restorium hosted their annual Picnic Fundraiser on Sunday, June 25. A combination of a barbecue and musical entertainment, as well as a silent auction and a pie sale, made it a special day for the residents of the Restorium.
They served hamburgers, hot dogs and side dishes. They also had several musicians for entertainment, and many family members came to show their support and spend quality time with family members to make the day notable. All of the silent auction products and pies were donated.
All proceeds and donations go to enhancing the building and facilities to provide the most comfortable and pleasant place for residents to live.
The Friends of the Restorium, or FOR Inc.’s mission statement is, “To benefit the residents of the Boundary County Community Restorium by providing resources that will enhance the quality of their lives.”
Over the past 12 years, and multiple fundraisers, they have raised over $250,000. The Restorium has gardens, a greenhouse, new hair care room, updated furniture in the family living and dining rooms, updated bathrooms and bedrooms, and building updates.
FOR Inc. has their 2017 memberships for sale for $5 per year. Iron Mikes Gym also has a special — for any family gym membership purchased, he donates a FOR Inc. membership for this year.
