New this year for canning requirements

- ALL jams and jellies must have pectin receipt with entry

Judges Reminders

1. Make sure that all entries have, if necessary, the altitude of where the product was canned, how much time was added for the elevation change, and the pressure that the product was canned at.

2. Make sure to have jams and jellies entries have a pectin receipt.

3. All salsa recipes need to follow USDA or PNW recommendations.

4. No oddball canning containers, such as one gallon pickle jars. Only approved jars and lids will be judged.

5. Very Important-labels on jars need to have all information on them to be judged.

6. No dirty jars or sticky residue on outside of jars.

7. All jars need to have pulled a vacuum.
