Mirror Lake Women's Golf tees off for 2017 season

BONNERS FERRY — The Mirror Lake Women’s Golf Association meets weekly for nine holes of golf on both Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings. Each week there is a game of the day in addition to low gross and low net scores.

League play began on May 10, with the game of the day being “Toss Out Worst Hole.” Karen English was the winner of the game of the day with a net score of 46. Linda Rupley and Elaine Morgan both had chip-ins on holes 7 and 1 respectively. Karen English had the low gross score of the week with a 54 and Linda Hiatt had the low net with a score of 38.

In the second week of play on May 17, the game of the day was ‘Low Gross for Flight A and Flight B.” In flight A Julie Williams had the low gross score of 41 and in flight B Etta Mae Schnuerle had the low gross score of 59. Etta Mae Schnuerle had the least number of putts with a score of 14. Julie Williams had the overall low gross score of 41 and low net of 38.

In week four of the Mirror Lake Women’s Golf the game of the day was Bingo, Bango, Bongo. Players received points for being first on the green, closest to the hole and longest putt made. Etta Mae Schnuerle and Renee Murphy tied for the win in the Tuesday evening match and Etta Mae Schnuerle won first place while Karen English and Evelyn Rae tied for second place in the Wednesday morning match.

Julie Williams had the low gross score of 43 and net score of 40 on Tuesday evening and Linda Bogdan had the low gross score of 53 and low net of 33 on Wednesday morning. Karen English had a chip- in on hole #3 on Wednesday morning and Evelyn Rae had the least number of putts with 16.

The Mirror lake Women’s Golf meets every Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. with a tee time of 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday mornings at 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. tee time. New members are always welcome so come on out and enjoy the fun!
