Last week Terry Howe shared a picture of O.F. (Floyd) and Alice Howe in front of their pre-World War I Scrips-Booth touring car. We don’t know the model of this one, but one website tells us that only seven of the Model B39 still exist today.
O.F. Howe came to Bonners Ferry in 1908 and opened a jewelry store where he also repaired watches. He later attended an optometry school in Spokane for two months. He traded houses with his father, Milo Howe and his second wife Rose, who lived there at the time. O.F. along with J.B. Brody and Dr. Fry, constructed the Enterprise building, the first brick building in Bonners Ferry.

Did your fourth grader come home and tell you about all the great things they saw on their visit to the museum? Come down and share the experience again with them. I am sure they can give you a guided tour and show you where the mouse is hiding in the clocks. Hope to see you and the family soon.
