PEO hosts Friendship Tea
Chapter AP, PEO, Bonners Ferry, held their annual Friendship Tea on May 6, at the United Methodist Church. Members and guests enjoyed a flower arranging program by Terry Wallace, Chief Designer, Sugar Plum Floral, Bonners Ferry; and refreshments of tea sandwiches and cookies provided by the PEO members. Chapter AP President Debra Perry, and Chairperson Mary Hays made presentations about the PEO organization and its mission of assisting women seeking access to higher education through scholarships and low interest loans.
Following the program, members and guests enjoyed flower arranging in ceramic teapots they brought to the tea according to the pointers given by Terry Wallace in her program.
Chapter AP, Bonners Ferry, also seeks to assist local Bonners Ferry High School women seeking graduate studies through scholarship support. As part of its mission, Chapter AP sponsors the Bonners Ferry High School Tea for graduating seniors, and this year sponsored Hannah Sims in her successful bid for Distinguished Young Woman, Bonners Ferry.
