Dear Citizens of Boundary County:

I just wanted to say to all of you what a wonderful town Bonners Ferry is. Shortly, we will be leaving our wonderful town which we called home for the last 23 years. It has been a wonderful experience and we have met many wonderful people that we will always treasure.

I would like to take a moment and reflect on my time with the Boundary County Assessor’s Office in which I had the pleasure of working for over the last 21+ years. In that time I worked with many wonderful people that I will always consider friends. I really would like all of the Property Owners of Boundary County to know that this is truly a wonderful dedicated office, by all who work here under the leadership of Assessor Dave Ryals. None of us enjoy seeing those Assessment Notices come through in June but I would like all to know that our Appraisers and Clerks that you encounter are very patient and respectful and it would certainly be nice if you could return that patience and respect in kind!! All employees and the Assessor are ALWAYS willing to take the time to explain procedures to anyone truly interested in listening and learning and try and be as accommodating as possible when appropriate.

So, in parting, take care of one another, I’ll truly miss this little slice of heaven and TRY and go easy on my good friends at the Assessor’s Office, they have homes and pay taxes too, we are all struggling to survive and remember that you are truly blessed to live in this community!!
