Three Badgers Place at State

NAMPA — The Bonners Ferry Badgers wrestling squad had a big turn around the last two weeks of the season and sent nine boys to the State Championships.

Jesse Sandelin placed 2nd in the 160 weight class, Matt Varelman placed 2nd in the 195 weight class, and Tyler Beazer placed 6th in the 113. All state qualifiers represented Bonners Ferry well and fought hard to claim their standings at the championships.

Nine Badger wrestlers placed in the top three of their weight classes, which qualified them to travel to Nampa last weekend to compete in the state tournament.

Those wrestlers were: Carver Copley, Ben Tadlock, Tyler Beazer, Denton Eby, Mason Eby, Jesse Sandlin, Pacen Pluid, Matt Varelman and Ronney Craig.

The dedication paid off and next season will be even better. The compete results for the State Championships are as follows:
