William H. Clark, Jr.
William H. Clark, Jr., 92, formerly of Reading, Pa, passed away, Sunday, Feb. 19, in Sunset Home Assisted Living Facility, Bonners Ferry, Idaho with family at his side.
He was the husband of Mary A. (Martorana) Clark. Born in Norristown, Pa., he was the son of the late William H., Sr. and Helen E. (Keller) Clark. William was a 1942 graduate of Norristown High School, served as an apprentice at Textile Machine Works for three years and was a graduate of Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute in Pennsylvania.
William was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in France, Belgium, Holland, and Germany. William worked as a tool maker for 30 years at Western Electric, AT&T, and Lucent Technologies, retiring in 1986.
Since moving to Bonners Ferry to live with his son and daughter-in-law, he attended Mountain Springs Church when he was physically able. He loved photography and target shooting. William served on the Kenhorst Crime Watch and was also the Scout Master of United Church of Christ Troop 242, Kenhorst, from 1964-1968.
He is survived by three sons: Robert W. Clark, Reading, Pa.; David D., husband of Cheryl Clark, Bonners Ferry, Idaho; and James T., husband of Meegan Clark, Cumru Twp., Pa. Two step-children: Jeanette M., wife of Henry Wewer, Laureldale, PA; and Howard J., husband of Mary Einsel, Muhlenberg Park, Pa; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive him.
William was preceded in death daughter, Linda A. Clark and son John C. Clark in 1967.
Services will be Monday, Feb. 27, at 11 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, Pa. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Pa. Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
