Bushnell Law opens downtown
BONNERS FERRY — Thomas A. Bushnell, Attorney-at-Law, P.A. has opened Bushnell Law, a new law firm, in downtown Bonners Ferry.
Bushnell, along with his staff members, who include his wife and secretary Sherry, and his Legal Secretary and daughter Sheraya Hauck, says he and his family have felt welcomed and appreciated in Boundary County.
“We want to provide affordable legal services to our friends and neighbors in Boundary County,” said Bushnell, explaining his motivation for starting his new business. Bushnell Law Firm provides counsel for estate planning, probate, real estate business, family law, and personal injury.
Bushnell is excited about serving the community and meeting new people. His specialty is finding solutions to problems. He is striving to set a standard that reflects personalized, cost-effective help for people from all walks of life, including those who are underserved, as well as those who consider themselves living comfortably.
Bushnell emphasizes the importance of planning for adverse circumstance.
“We should all have wills, an Advanced Directive, and Power of Attorney to care for our family should we become incapacitated.” Bushnell said. “Here is an affordable way to get your home or estate in order.”
When asked what he would like to tell customers about his business, Bushnell says he is honest and thinks pragmatically. His “fair pricing makes getting your legal work done a relief, instead of a burden.” Bushnell offers “private, compassionate help for those times you need a professional to help you and understands that you need solutions, not big costs.
Bushnell also provides “personalized service, being sincerely interested in your unique situation.”
Holding a J. Doctorate in law from Oakbrook College of Law, Bushnell served a three-year internship under the direction of Timothy B. Wilson, Attorney at Law. Bushnell has extensive business and life experience as a former logger, landscaper, builder, and non-profit organization Director.
His varied experiences provide him with a wealth of understanding that allow him to solve problems.
He is licensed to practice law in Idaho, Washington State, and California. He currently serves as Director of CHASK, Christian Homes and Special Kids, a non-profit organization (501-c3). He also is on the board of a Blessed Beginning Pregnancy Care Center in Boundary County.
Bushnell Law Firm will be offering an opportunity to community members to learn about areas of importance for area residents.
A series of free classes will be offered beginning March 24 entitled Will and Estate Planning ‘The Basics.’ The class will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 6430 Kootenai Street in Bonners Ferry.
Upcoming classes will cover 4th, 5th and 6th Amendment Rights, Adoption and Guardianship, and What to do in an Auto Accident.
