Wilma Mae (Gee) Rasmussen

Wilma Mae (Gee) Rasmussen, 88, passed away on April 27, 2017 at Life Care in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Wilma was born on February 27, 1929 to Oliver and Edna Gee in Covington, Kentucky. She attended schools in the East. She liked to travel so she began working at Continental Trail ways Bus Line. After Marrying Ray Rasmussen she began a family of Susan, Sharon and Ray Jr. To compensate the income she worked at Hartland hospital in West Covina, CA as a nightshift switchboard operator. Her next job was spent at Ontario Airport in Upland, CA as a key punch operator. After the children were raised she worked at the Mariposa Ranger Station then on to El Portalas a Finance Officer for Yosemite National Park where she worked until age 68. Next she moved to North Idaho in June of 1999. She loved driving around the forest, hiked Half Dome at least twice. She always had a poodle with her the last one is Holly, Still at home with Sharon. The most fun she had was riding on Amtrak to visit Glacier Park and Whitefish several times before she had her latest stroke.

She is preceded in death by her husband Ray Rasmussen on May 27, 2016 they will both be interred at Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry, their grandchildren are Timothy and Tabitha Fox, Chuck and Julie Cross, Raymond III and Brandon Rasmussen, Great grandchildren are Bailey and Blake Cross, Raymond IV and Riley Rasmussen, and Dawson Schalk.
