Richard Earl Eby
Richard Earl Eby, 82, of Moyie Springs, Idaho, previously of Libby, Mont., and as a child of Copeland, Idaho, died on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Libby Care Center surrounded by his loving family. There will be a Memorial Service with potluck following at 11 a.m. June 3, 2017 at Copeland Hall, Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Richard was born on December 17, 1934 in Cady, S.D. to Joe and Eva Fletcher Eby. He was the eighth child out of 11.
He married Beverly Cameron and they shared 63 years together. They move to Libby in 1958 and he went to work at J Neils Lumber Company, St. Regis, and then Champion International. He retired in 1990 from the mill, working in the timber industry all his life.
Richard enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, looking for mushrooms, huckleberries and fire wood. His greatest love was his family, friends and very blessed to have many of both. He enjoyed helping people build, remodel, and repair.
We used the saying “Have hammer will travel” due to all the help he gave. He was always giving his time and opinion. He will be missed greatly by his family, he was loved beyond words.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Eby; children Dixie Beasley (Denny Lester), Rick Eby (Shauney Fisher), Cheri (Robert) Javorsky; 6 grandchildren Les Beasley, Robin (Julianne) Maiden, Jeremiah (Danielle) Maiden, Trevor (Paige) Maiden, Tyler (Jessica) Beasley, Joseph Eby (Kristen Sikes); 8 great-grandchildren: Hailie, Barrett, Anson, Max, Penelope, Raymond, August and Wesley. Richard had sisters, Sandy Bailey, May Ann Tolle, Peggy Peterson, a brother Les Eby, nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Fay, Don, Glen, Ralph, Bob; sister Velma and grandson Les Beasley.
The family express its deepest gratitude and a thank you to his doctor, Dr. Geyman, and staff, the Libby Care Center and Boundary County Hospital for the gentle and loving care they gave him and his family.
