Bonners Ferry Band updates

| November 9, 2017 12:00 AM

Bonners Ferry high school and middle school band students volunteered over 200 hours to construct and staff the Second Chance Animal Shelter’s Haunted House. On Oct. 27, 28, and 31, the haunted house opened and screams could be heard for blocks as the band students and other volunteers did their best to entertain and terrify. All money raised went to house, feed, and care for homeless pets in Boundary County.

Tonight, Nov. 9, from 5-9 p.m., Tip a Badger Night will be held at The Springs Restaurant in The Kootenai River Inn. All students involved in sports, dance, band, or other activities will act as servers and 100 percent of the tips, along with 5 percent of dinner sales, will go to benefit the BFHS Booster Club.

The Gathering of the Bands will take place Wednesday, November 15, at 7 p.m. at North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene. The concert is free and open to the public. All families are invited and encouraged to attend. In addition to the middle school performing groups, the NIC Wind Symphony will also perform at the concert.
