Care-N-Share program starts
BONNERS FERRY — “I have organized and operated the Care-N-Share Program for 35 years now,” said Program Director Linda Lederhos. “We give toys and clothing to the children of families in need at Christmas.”
They also help people throughout the year whose homes have burned or people that have had to leave their home without notice and don’t have anything. Their main goal is to insure each child gets some new toys and clothing for the Christmas Holiday.
People can apply now through Dec. 4, at either the Panhandle Health Clinic or the Bamboo Room Craft Store by filling out an application. The gifts will be given out on Dec. 22.
“We are always looking for people that would like to sponsor a child, family, or those that might just want to make a donation,” said Lederhos.
Donations can be dropped off at Wells Fargo Bank, Mountain West Bank, The Bamboo Room Craft Store, E. L. Internet Northwest, or mailed to Care-N-Share at 515014 Hwy 95, Bonners Ferry, ID 83805.
“We are a non-profit so your donations are tax deductible, and all donation stay in Bonners Ferry,” said Lederhos.
“In all the 35 years I have done this program I am so amazed at how the community supports the children of our town weather it is in my program or the schools,” said Lederhos. “We live in a beautiful town and I thank everyone that have participated, for without all of them the program would not exist.”
