Donald Robert Marsh

Donald Robert Marsh, 79, passed away on Nov. 17, 2017 of cancer and a bad heart at his home near Bonners Ferry, Idaho. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at the Church of Christ, Bonners Ferry.

Don was born on July 5, 1938 in Culver City, Calif., to Robert Arthur and Ada E. (Johnson) Marsh. He was a very hard worker and worked as a miner in the Lark and Gilsonite mines. He later was a truck driver in the oil fields in Utah, Wyoming and Colorado. Later he drove truck for Jones Paint and Glass Company, delivering windows, glass and paint. He was a welder also and worked in several foundries. When he moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho he worked at Ball Creek Ranch in the grain fields and at the sawmill in Naples.

He loved hunting, fishing and camping. His hobbies were making jewelry and walking canes. He loved gardening and planting fruit trees. Donald accepted God and became a member of the Bonners Ferry Church of Christ.

Donald is survived by his wife Rayma, step daughter Lori Luck and two sons Wayne and Justin Marsh from California. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, a stepson Leon Luck.

The family suggests memorials be sent to the Church of Christ for Lori’s care.

He will be really missed by all who knew him.
