South Boundary Fire hosts free breakfast

| October 5, 2017 1:00 AM

The South Boundary Firefighters are cooking up a free breakfast this Saturday in hopes to raise money to create more space at the Naples Fire Station. This will add an extra two bays on the station with much needed storage space, the ability to expand the very popular Community Room and to create a permanent larger home for the Food bank.

Please come this Saturday from 7:30 to 11 a.m. and enjoy pancakes, sausage, ham, eggs, coffee and juice for free. Have a look at the Silent Auction items and place a bid if you wish; we have items ranging from a dollar or so to items worth over $2,000.

The services provided by the South Boundary Fire Protection District have increased to meet the growing needs of the community and space is running out, this combined with the need for a bigger food bank and storage for non-profit groups using the Community Room. The Community Room has been an extremely successful mission with many different non profit events happening weekly. We are currently looking into community based grants to help facilitate the expansion. TransCanada Gas has already supported us with a $5,000 grant to assist with construction. We welcome input, grants and any help we can get for this project.

Come down for breakfast, meet your Firefighters and neighbors, bid on the auction items, let the kids jump in the Firehouse bounce house and stay for the Silent Auction results at 11 a.m.
